BOC South Pacific, a Linde company, is helping WaterNSW run a scalable trial that aims to improve dissolved oxygen levels in a section of the Darling River in New South Wales, Australia. Introducing oxygen will help reduce the risk of large-scale fish deaths that have occurred in recent years.

BOC has installed a drop-in Linde SOLVOX oxygen system that sits below the river surface to enable increased oxygen levels. This and other innovative BOC technologies are successfully oxygenating river systems across Australia to improve water quality and biodiversity.

We are proud to play a key role in decarbonizing the steel industry. Linde supplied Cleveland-Cliffs with the hydrogen used in a successful hydrogen injection trial at the largest blast furnace in North America. Linde owns and operates three SMRs that supply Cleveland-Cliffs and other customers via a dedicated pipeline system in Northwest Indiana.

The trial resulted in the same efficiency and steel quality, thus marking another milestone toward Cleveland-Cliffs’ future emissions reduction efforts. Cleveland-Cliffs cited Linde as a key partner in the project. Linde’s proven range of technologies to optimize and decarbonize steelmaking processes include OYXGON, COJET and REBOX. #News: Today, together with Daimler Truck AG, we opened the world's first public Subcooled Liquid Hydrogen (sLH₂) refueling station in Wörth/Rhein, Germany.

sLH₂ is just as easy for drivers to use as diesel fuel: Connect the tank nozzle and in 10 to 15 minutes the vehicle is ready for the next 1,000 km. The good news for filling station operators: Compared to existing hydrogen filling stations, the costs for purchase and operation are considerably lower. From a technical point of view, the system is much simpler, and only 5% of the energy previously required is needed to handle the hydrogen.

From our point of view, sLH₂ is the next huge step towards decarbonizing heavy goods transport.
