Meet Myriam, a partnership and sales professional based in Paris, France.

As a single woman in her late thirties, Myriam decided she was ready to become a mother and build her family. She began looking into freezing her eggs and intrauterine insemination (IUI).  

But Myriam encountered more obstacles than anticipated. Until June of 2021, French law only allowed heterosexual married couples to access fertility treatments. While the laws have finally changed, Myriam found that conservative cultural attitudes towards fertility have yet to catch up. Many providers at fertility clinics weren’t supportive of her decision to have her first child with a sperm donor.
