Lasty night we held a dinner at City Social in Tower 42 (great view) with our friends Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the mortgage market, with the topic of how to modernise and digitalise your technolgy stack. Ohpen was founded on this day in 2009 and over the last 15 years it has certainly been an eventful and exciting journey. And… we are really just getting started!

🤝 We are proud of our heritage and there is no doubt that it shaped the culture and values that we have carried with us as the business has evolved. The consistent theme throughout our journey is one of #companionship. In the early days the challenges of starting a company and successfully bringing exciting projects live was only possible with a team who worked together, shoulder by shoulder. And this spirit of collaboration has been a hallmark of Ohpen ever since.

💯 We also rely on our team to challenge the ‘status quo’ – encouraging them to take the #initiative and to come up with solutions for the challenges that we find on the way. And we certainly started with a big challenge – working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to jointly free the path for financial services providers to use the cloud to run their banking services. And during the Easter weekend of 2013 we celebrated as Robeco went live on our platform as the first bank to run their core services in the cloud. One of the key features of entrepreneurship is #perseverance and we never let go until the objective was realized.
