You may have heard, “Making an image with generative AI uses as much energy as charging your phone.” Well, that's not true if you use PhotoRoom. 😉

Based on the recent study by researchers at Hugging Face and Carnegie Mellon University, generating 1,000 images with a powerful AI model, such as Stable Diffusion XL, is responsible for roughly as much carbon dioxide as driving the equivalent of 4.1 miles in an average gasoline-powered car. 🚗

We did the math: PhotoRoom's Generative AI model produces 50 times less CO2 compared to Stable Diffusion XL, and among the eight text-to-image models benchmarked in the study, ours produces 3 times less CO2 than the one with the lowest emissions. 🌍
