In Loving Memory of Carol Tobler (1965 - 2024) It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear colleague, mentor, and friend, Carol Tobler. Carol left us on October 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 59 years old. Carol's journey with our organization began in August 1983 when she joined Leo J. Shapiro and Associates. Over the decades, through many evolutions that saw the company grow into what is now Shapiro+Raj, Carol remained a constant—a beacon of knowledge, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She was not just a colleague; she was a cornerstone of our team, a leader who guided with wisdom and kindness, and someone who embodied the very values we hold dear: audacity, integrity, commitment, innovation, and growth. Throughout her career, Carol did much more than work in market research. She helped clients become friends, brands become household names, and people solve their greatest challenges. Whether it was a complex quantitative initiative, an event, or a marketing campaign, she brought a savant-like expertise to every task, always with a smile and the attitude of "we'll figure this out together." Her presence extended beyond our office walls; she was well-respected across the market research industry, known for her brilliance, her kindness, and the impact she made on so many. Carol’s legacy is not just in the work she did, but in the lives she touched. She had a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and supported. For those of us who had the privilege of working with her, she was not just a colleague but a friend who made every day brighter, every challenge easier, and every success more meaningful. We will forever miss her laughter, her stories, and her bright spirit. As we remember Carol, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on in each of us. She embodied everything it means to be a “Zainiac”—bold, caring, and endlessly dedicated. She was the heart and soul of our team, and while Shapiro+Raj will never be quite the same without her, we will continue to be great because of the incredible foundation she built with us.
