Sojitz Establishes Sojitz Kaset Dee X to Enter the Agri Platform Business in Thailand
 
Sojitz Corporation (“Sojitz”) has newly established Sojitz Kaset Dee X Co., Ltd. (“KDX”) as an agri platform subsidiary in Thailand. Sojitz will enter the agri platform business via KDX, which plans to begin supply and sale of farming services, materials, and financing to cassava farmers through the platform starting from fall 2024. Sojitz will aim to improve farming efficiency and sustainability that leads to increased prosperity for farmers through the development of KDX’s farming services.

Sojitz Corporation, Kyushu Electric Power Co., and Sembcorp Green Hydrogen Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Asia’s leading energy provider Sembcorp Industries, have signed a term sheet with Nippon Yusen Kaisha for marine transport of green ammonia produced in India to Japan. Each company intends to develop the term sheet into a legally binding document at a later stage.
