NatWest Group partners with Sparta Global to secure technology talent from diverse backgrounds and support the continued growth of its One Bank Mortgages (OBM) platform. This video follows some of the 12 Spartans specialising in Software Engineering, Test Automation, and DevOps who were selected to join NatWest’s OBM team. Those joining were made up of women, those first in their families to go to university, and individuals from minority backgrounds. These consultants secured the opportunity on attitude, aptitude and potential alone – not prior technology experience or educational background. Since joining the team, they have converted to full-time employees at NatWest to continue their personal and professional growth – with two selected for the future leaders programme. Natasha Fasanotti has always had an interest in technology, pursuing a degree in Computer Science to turn her passion into a career. But when it came to leaving university and picking a path - the options were overwhelming. Joining Sparta Global in February this year, Natasha upskilled in test automation and is now an integral part of a multi-Spartan project team operating in the public sector. 🏆 Natasha has been named one of our Spartans of the Month for October for her being "fantastic to work with". When Ekaterina McNeill began her Psychology studies at University, she wouldn’t have predicted a future working in Data and a successful career kickstarted in the public sector – but that’s exactly what happened! Yesterday we hosted Marcia Brissett-Bailey BSc, PG Dip (QCG), MA,IPSEA , Jannett Morgan and their incredible BleND community to host #BleND2024 - #ReclaimingtheNarrative as part of Black History Month. BleND stands for Black Leadership & Excellence in Neurodiversity, and this gathering was a celebration of this community and their personal experiences. Guests were treated to inspiring and honest keynote speakers, fireside chats, and an inclusive and empowering networking environment that encouraged all attendees to realise their potential. It was a huge honour to host the event and we hope to continue our partnership with BleND as their grow 💕
