𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 In a headline article by the New York Times, “Why deaths from E-bike fires are declining in New York City”, Swobbee’s battery charging and swapping stations are acknowledged as an important part of the solution that is bringing greater fire safety to the City. The Times acknowledged the success of battery kiosks in replacing at-home battery charging with safe charging alternatives like Swobbee. With the number of battery fires already significantly down this year compared to last year, it’s a fantastic start, and there is still more to be done. 202 lithium battery fires occurred in NYC this year, 51% of which were inside buildings. Were committed to continuing to work with the city and other key stakeholders to bring this number down to zero.

Wrapping up an incredible #ClimateTech journey in New York! 🌱🗽 Our Market Discovery Climate Tech program came to an exciting close this week during Climate Week NYC. The startups made the most of the opportunity, attending key events and connecting with fellow entrepreneurs, industry leaders, investors, and policymakers. They also gained valuable insights during a law session at the brand-new Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP office in Times Square, where topics ranged from U.S. market entry and corporate law to clean tech patents and green advertising.
