𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 In a headline article by the New York Times, “Why deaths from E-bike fires are declining in New York City”, Swobbee’s battery charging and swapping stations are acknowledged as an important part of the solution that is bringing greater fire safety to the City. The Times acknowledged the success of battery kiosks in replacing at-home battery charging with safe charging alternatives like Swobbee. With the number of battery fires already significantly down this year compared to last year, it’s a fantastic start, and there is still more to be done. 202 lithium battery fires occurred in NYC this year, 51% of which were inside buildings. Were committed to continuing to work with the city and other key stakeholders to bring this number down to zero.
