We celebrated the release of the new film, “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” and the 40th anniversary of the original movie, with a limited-edition collection available exclusively for our COMMUNITY members.​

The Timberland x Ghostbusters collaboration features our icon reimagined, drawing inspiration from the Ghostbusters universe and the rugged style New York City. ​
​
The wheat Premium 6-inch Boot has hazard-themed laces, two interchangeable hangtags featuring the ‘ECTO-1’ license plate and the Ghostbusters logo, and a collar embossed with ‘Ghostbusters.’ To top it off, the footbed includes the NYC subway map.​

The black Premium 6-inch Boot features glow-in-the-dark slime green laces and outsole, along with an “I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost” hangtag. This silhouette is complemented by slime details on the tongue and collar. ​

“Black rodeo makes you feel like you’re part of the family of the rodeo,” said founder of the Oklahoma Cowboys, Jakian Parks, when we sat down with him on the set of our Timberland Black Pioneers Collection shoot. ​

For Black History Month we tapped Jakian and the Oklahoma Cowboys — a family-run and community-rooted organization — to bring our ode to the enduring and transformative power of community to life. The Black Pioneers story celebrates generations of a multidimensional community that has built and relied on togetherness to journey through the outdoors. From the valleys, to the mountains, to the cities — and everywhere in between — community has been a comfort and foundation to move boldly into the unknown. And the Oklahoma Cowboys know just how powerful their community is; from raising awareness and celebrating the significant role of Black cowboys and cowgirls, to passing down their heritage and traditions to the next generation.​

As we observe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, we encourage our teammates to honor his dream and legacy today and everyday. And we’re excited to invite our U.S. employees to participate in the New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility (NHBSR) Workplace Innovation Challenge, an eight-week online learning experience that provides tools and resources to help foster more inclusive and diverse workplaces. 

Participants will receive a weekly email with a theme, links to articles and podcasts, along with questions to encourage both personal and team reflection. Participants will also be invited to join optional bi-weekly online dialogue sessions to reflect and consider actions to drive change in the most effective ways. 

“I’m thrilled to share this program with my colleagues in New Hampshire and around the U.S.,” says Atlanta McIlwraith, Timberland’s Social Impact and Activation Director and a member of NHBSR’s Board. “The rich and thought-provoking content and discussions of the Workplace Innovation Challenge will complement our speaker series and ongoing internal comms and service activations that aim to educate and inspire our team as we strive to build a more inclusive and equitable world.”
