TreeHouse Foods’ Hanover, Pennsylvania, facility has been a pretzel bakery for more than 70 years. Built around 1955, it resides in America’s “pretzel alley.” Fun fact: Approximately 80% of all pretzels sold in American come from Pennsylvania. 

Our Hanover facility makes a variety of pretzel products, including twists, sticks, rods and more.

Meet Kris Wieser – TreeHouse Food’s director of coffee excellence! He oversees our coffee products, from roasting to production. 

He’s been involved in the coffee roasting process for more than 13 years and loves his role in creating a product that is part of people’s lives. 

“I love the fact that coffee can create shared experiences for people that are meaningful,” said Wieser. “I am grateful to be a part of a process that creates those experiences.”

A new TreeHouse Foods Employee Resource Group (ERG) launched this week – Emerging Professionals! 

Employees in the first 10 years of their professional career and their allies will have the opportunity to participate in mentorship and professional development opportunities through Emerging Professionals.

“We want to be the launch pad for folks joining TreeHouse Foods to build connections within our community. We also want to be the reason people stay,” said Danielle Fournier, supply chain strategy manager and chair of Emerging Professionals. “Fostering a community where people matter, belong and can grow professionally exemplifies the TreeHouse Foods core value of being Better Together.”

The Emerging Professionals ERG joins our four existing groups — Black Employee Resource Group, Women @ TreeHouse Resource Group, Free to Be Me LGBTQIA+ Resource Group and Parent and Caregiver Network.

Our Black Employee Resource Group honored Martin Luther King Day by organizing a team of TreeHouse Foods volunteers at the Northern Illinois Food Bank for a day of service, packing and sorting food items for individuals facing food insecurity.

“I once heard someone say that ‘we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.’ This rang true for me as I began to see the impact our team made through our collective efforts,” said Nanah Bangura, Black Employee Resource Group steering committee lead and director of executive compensation. “I look forward to continuing to support the mission of the Northern Illinois Food Bank and connecting TreeHouse Foods with the local community.”

In addition to our Black Employee Resource Group, our other groups include Women @ TreeHouse Resource Group, Free to Be Me LGBTQIA+ Resource Group and Parent and Caregiver Network.

Our TreeHouse Foods team participated in many charitable events this winter, providing opportunities for our teams to engage with their communities. 
 
Employees volunteered to pack meal kits, assemble food donations and coordinate holiday gifts for nonprofit organizations. Additionally, TreeHouse Foods made a 15-pallet, 6,000-pound food donation of nearly 1,000 tote bags to Northern Illinois Food Bank (including the Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry and Loaves & Fishes Community Services in Naperville, IL). Oak Brook employees helped assemble the bags during their holiday party in December.

When you are a reservist in the National Guard, coordinating and scheduling the required 48 days of service time during the year can be incredibly challenging. But, as TreeHouse Foods Customer Service and Fulfillment Specialist Victoria Chavez shared, “It’s easy to coordinate when your company has your back. Many reservists don’t have supportive employers.”

Victoria wanted to show her appreciation for her team’s support, so she submitted an essay nominating her manager and TreeHouse Foods for Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR) awards.

As a result, ESGR recently recognized both Victoria’s manager, Brittany Weiland, and TreeHouse Foods. The Seven Seals Award was given to TreeHouse Foods for supporting men and women who serve in the National Guard and Reserves. Brittany received the Patriotic Employer Award. 

We thank Victoria for her service and applaud her team for supporting her! We are truly #BetterTogether.

Our Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania, facility has been a staple in the community for decades. 

Linette Quality Chocolates was founded in 1927 as a family-owned seasonal chocolate novelties producer. It started at 105 Washington St. in Reading and then moved to 336 Hill Road, Heidelberg Township, near Womelsdorf. The facility was acquired by TreeHouse Foods in 2016 as part of the Private Brands transaction.

Our fine-quality chocolate is used in everything from peanut butter cups to the outside coating for ice cream bars. 

TreeHouse Foods’ ability to engage and delight our customers is dependent upon having dedicated employees and delicious products. Many of our Womelsdorf employees have been loyal to the facility for decades.

“We have an individual getting ready to retire who has been an employee for 40 years. Our average employee tenure is 12 years!” said Andrew Selby, Womelsdorf Plant Manager.
