👏 What a special cooperation! Together with our colleagues from Volkswagen and Volkswagen Group we as Volkswagen Financial Services are supporting the Vatican City State in its transition towards sustainable mobility. At the beginning of 2024, we will jointly deliver just under 40 fully electric models from the ID. family, ranging from the ID.3* to the ID.4 and ID.5. The vehicles are part of the decarbonization strategy of the Vatican City State, aiming to make the Vatican fleet climate-neutral by 2030.

🤝⚡️🚗 Marcus Osegowotsch, CEO at Volkswagen Group Italy, Imelda Labbé, Member of the Board of Management for Sales, Marketing and After-Sales at Volkswagen, and our CEO Dr. Christian Dahlheim, have personally handed over the first two electric vehicles to the Vatican, two ID.3 Pro Performance models**. 👍 One global #team, one global #strategy. That was the motto of the latest global strategy event on #MOBILITY2030 from Volkswagen Financial Services. In two remote sessions, the Board of Management of Volkswagen Financial Services together with Dr. Volker Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Bank GmbH addressed almost 17,000 employees worldwide, providing an update on the five strategic dimensions: customer loyalty, vehicle, performance, data & technology and sustainability.
 
📢 It is on this great team to embrace future challenges and focus on bringing this strategy to life, as our CEO Dr. Christian Dahlheim stated: „Embrace the challenge as a team and win! Don't be afraid to question existing processes and make suggestions for improvement, because that's the only way we can be successful as a team in the long term!”
 
🤝 He and his colleagues also took the opportunity, to welcome Dr. Ingrun-Ulla Bartölke as the new Chief Representative of Volkswagen Bank GmbH in the management #team.
 
🌟 A special highlight was the presentation by Alain Favey, CEO of Europcar Mobility Group, about the cooperation between Volkswagen Financial Services and Europcar. The focus of the cooperation is on several projects, in particular the mobility platform, car subscription and fleet business. In total, more than 27 joint initiatives are on the agenda.

👉 Solid results for Volkswagen Financial Services in the third quarter of 2023!

📈 The new contract acquisitions worldwide increased by 10.8 percent during the months from January to September 2023. With a total figure of 6.36 million new contracts worldwide, a new record was set for the first three quarters of a fiscal year. The portfolio of current contracts remained stable at just over 22 million. The Operating profit after nine months fell to EUR 2.54 billion. 

🚗 The used car strategy pursued by Volkswagen Financial Services still continues to bear fruit. Through Europe-wide marketing and close coordination with the dealer partners and the Volkswagen Group brands, 694,000 new contracts (+4.8%) were concluded from January to September 2023, bringing the contract portfolio to 2.67 million units (+1.5%). In addition, the fleet business remains a major growth driver in the German market. With around 228,000 newly signed fleet customer contracts, new contracts exceeded the previous year's level by more than 33 percent.

💭 Our CEO Dr. Christian Dahlheim said: "We continue to see the normalization of the financial services business in terms of earnings that has been apparent since the beginning of the year and feel confirmed in our assessment for 2023. We are pleased with the development of new contracts. This reflects the improved vehicle availability." 

💭 Our CFO Frank Fiedler noted: "All our forecasts regarding business performance are being confirmed. We are therefore sticking to our earnings target, despite the numerous global political and macroeconomic uncertainties."

👉 In particular, the Volkswagen Bank is continuing on its growth course. Dr. Volker Stadler, Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen Bank GmbH, pointed out: "With its deposit business, Volkswagen Bank makes an essential contribution to the refinancing mix and therefore to the growth of Volkswagen Financial Services."

Europcar Mobility Group, will acquire 51 percent of the shares in Euromobil GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Financial Services, subject to antitrust approval.
Our CEO Christian Dr. Christian Dahlheim, says: "This transaction is an important milestone in the cooperation between the Volkswagen Group and the Europcar Mobility Group. In this way, we are bundling the Volkswagen Group's car rental business in order to create synergies and further develop the Europcar Mobility Group with its expertise in the management of large fleets and its mobility service culture as an important cornerstone of our mobility platform."
