In June, we wrapped up our third edition of the Next Gen' Leaders training on a chocolate-making high! 😋🍫 The Next Gen' Leaders course is our advanced #LeadershipProgram, designed to #upskill Wallapop leaders. This program provides a safe, growth-enabling, and challenging environment to explore key leadership topics. Beyond training, it includes a continuous community of practice to ensure knowledge transfer and learning by observing others.
Over the past six months, the cohort honed essential skills aligned to our core leadership principles: #empowerment, #ownership, #judgment, and #focus. Self-awareness, vision, strategic thinking, coaching & mentorship are some of the topics they explored. A few months ago, Flavia Neves joined our team as Chief Product Officer. Her vision is to make Wallapop essential in people’s lives, not by encouraging consumption, but by catering for every user’s needs. 🌍
Reshaping consumption patterns to encourage sustainable practices and meaningful trading is what sparked our conversations initially, and well, the rest is history. Her obsession for the foreseeable future is to pull all the levers possible to position Wallapop as a serious contender to first-hand selection and quality. 🚀

To mark #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth in May, we launched a holistic health perk consolidating our existing physical activity perk with nutrition and mental wellbeing options supported by nutritionists and psychologists via Wellhub.
It was also an opportunity to open up the dialogue on #neurodiversity as supporting mental health in the workplace starts by recognising the diversity every single individual brings. Only by doing so we can create an environment and culture where everyone is catered for. 
Speaking about neurodiversity is acknowledging the natural variations in human brain functions and behaviours which bring unique perspectives and strengths to our team. Ítalo Marques Mouzinho kindly shared with us his journey and experience with adult #ADHD and how awareness and understanding in this space leads to increased collective mental health and wellbeing. Thank you Sir for such an inspiring talk!

Last week we celebrated the 3rd edition of our Purpose Days where all employees had the opportunity to get together for an #AI themed hackathon to improve our ways of working and/or our product. 
For this edition we partnered with Google’s Customer Engineering team who joined us to share some thoughts on the current state of art in AI, what the future holds in this space and help us make the best use of #Gemini. A total of 20 teams were formed to put AI at the service of our team and users. It’s been a truly wonderful learning experience topped by a local beach clean up initiative with Good Karma Projects and great little party on our terrace to celebrate our 11th birthday in style! 🎂 🤖  🔍
