Last week we were thrilled to welcome Mike Reader MP and Rosie Wrighting MP, along with Harry Cobbold from The Food and Drink Federation ! One focus of the tour was our commitment to investment and sustainability. From achieving 100% recyclable packaging to investing in technologies that reduce our carbon footprint, we’re committed to setting a positive example in British manufacturing. We’re also passionate about supporting local farmers, with all whole-grain wheat for Weetabix Original sourced from within 50 miles, strengthening the local community's economy and doing our part in reducing food miles. GroceryAid Mixed Charity Netball Tournament 2024 🌈 On October 25th we led the event team of colleagues from multiple businesses to deliver the first GroceryAid Mixed Charity Netball Tournament at Oundle School Sports Centre. With 14 teams competing, from seasoned players to newcomers, it was amazing to see so many people experience netball—some for the first time in years! Huge thanks to Amy and Vanessa from England Netball for supporting us with match balls and tickets, and to Gen from Netball Players Association , who arranged for the brilliant Ella Clark to attend! ⭐️ Our dedicated umpires, led by Debbie Edwards, all did a fantastic job to ensure the event ran smoothly. Special shoutout to Oundle School for their support, especially the catering team for the wonderful cakes! Finally, big thanks to Madeleine-Joséphine Rainert for leading this event as part of the GroceryAid Awareness Network. WEETAVAULT - WORLD PORRIDGE DAY For World Porridge Day, the Weetavault was always going to bring up a Ready brek treat from yesteryear. Back in 2019, this 20 second campaign heated our home and imaginations with what a bowl of Ready brek can do. The film starts with quick clips of a man happily tucking into his Ready brek before sitting at a frozen bus stop. As he waits for the bus, those next to him are taken by the warm glow that surrounds him, noticing the heat the appears to be coming off of him. The pair comically get closer to the man to share his warmth, before the advert ends with the caption "Ready brek - Central Heating For Everyone".
