The Scotts Company, founded in 1868, started as a premium seed company for the U.S. agricultural industry and later expanded into the lawn care business for homeowners. The company grew into an international marketer of industry-leading brands through a merger with Miracle-Gro in 1995.

MSU students Ashton Kushner, Raduan Moustafhim and Caden McDonald spent 24 hours coding a computer game called Sparty Party at SpartaHack 9 last weekend.
