The Scotts Company, founded in 1868, started as a premium seed company for the U.S. agricultural industry and later expanded into the lawn care business for homeowners. The company grew into an international marketer of industry-leading brands through a merger with Miracle-Gro in 1995.

Our College of Engineering is among the founding disciplines at Michigan State University and among the three largest academic units. The MSU College of Engineering is where we develop practice-ready engineers and computer scientists who solve complex problems and drive economic development.

MSU students Ashton Kushner, Raduan Moustafhim and Caden McDonald spent 24 hours coding a computer game called Sparty Party at SpartaHack 9 last weekend.
