𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 At the conclusion of the 45th World Congress of Vine and Wine, the OIV celebrated the election of a new President, the adoption of a new Strategic Plan and 13 new resolutions during its centenary General Assembly. The OIV is participating in the Mediterranean Regional Conference of the 4p1000 Initiative , taking place in Rabat, Morocco, from 21 to 23 October. John Barker, Director General of the OIV, sent a video message to the participants, reaffirming the organisation's commitment to the sustainable management of wine-growing soils. The OIV is also organising a session on the issues and challenges facing wine-growing soils. The session will be chaired by Alejandro Fuentes Espinoza , OIV's Economy and Law head of Unit and a member of the 4 per 1000 Scientific Committee. Speakers will include Matthieu Dubernet, Chairman of Laboratoires Dubernet, Ramzi Belkodja, Production Health and Plant Protection department coordinator of the CIHEAM Zaragoza, and Enrico Battiston , OIV's Viticulture Head of Unit.

Under the OIV patronage, the 2nd edition of the 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦, organised by Moët Hennessy , starts tomorrow in Arles, France, until October 9.
