Bundesminister für Digitales und Verkehr Volker Wissing war im Rahmen der Förderbescheid-Übergabe des ALIKE-Projekts in Hamburg und ließ es sich nicht nehmen, autonom zu fahren: „Faszinierend. Man merkt keinen Unterschied, ob ein Mensch den Wagen steuert oder das Fahrzeug autonom fährt,“ äußerte sich Volker Wissing erfreut über die Gelegenheit: „Das Fahrzeug fährt beherzt, sicher und auch in schwierigen Verkehrssituationen reagiert es perfekt.“ 

Ebenfalls an Bord bei der Testfahrt rund um den Stadtpark waren Hamburgs Senator für Verkehr und Mobilitätswende Anjes Tjarks, Christian Senger von Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles und #MOIA-CEO Sascha Meyer.

Heute fiel der Startschuss für das ALIKE-Projekt in Hamburg! 
 
Dazu trafen sich die Konsortialpartner, bestehend aus Hamburger Hochbahn AG, #MOIA, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, HOLON, dem Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) und der Behörde für Verkehr und Mobilitätswende mit dem Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr und Volker Wissing im Beisein von Anjes Tjarks zur Übergabe eines Förderbescheides über rund 26 Millionen Euro. Vertreten waren die Partner durch Henrik Falk, Sascha Meyer, Christian Senger und Dr. Henning von Watzdorf. 

Im Projekt ALIKE soll ein System mit autonomen Shuttles erprobt werden, die einfach per App gebucht werden können und den Fahrgast direkt abholen und ans Ziel bringen. 
 
MOIA integriert dabei eine autonome Flotte mit zwei Betreibern und unterschiedlichen Fahrzeugen nahtlos in einem Ridepooling-Angebot. Gerade dieses Zusammenspiel von öffentlichen und privaten Unternehmen macht die Einzigartigkeit des Projektes aus. Das Ridepooling-System von MOIA bildet die Klammer des Projekts und fügt die Bestandteile der Anbieter in ein attraktives Angebot zusammen. Sowohl über die MOIA- als auch hvv switch-App können Menschen in Hamburg künftig autonome Mobilität bestellen. Mit diesem Projekt zeigen wir unser strategisches Ziel einer offenen Mobilitätsplattform für geteilte autonome Verkehre in der Realität.

MOIA x OTTO celebrate equality with a blood donation initiative 🌈

We are happy to support OTTO's queer employee network MORE* as the official mobility partner! For the two-week initiative, we take OTTO employees who want to donate blood to the Universitätsklinikum Hamburg Eppendorf (UKE) for free. The occasion is a new blood donor regulation: Sexual orientation and gender identity are no longer considered in the risk assessment for a donation. A huge step against discrimination! We’re proud to be on board 🙌

Fluffy rides MOIA!

We had the pleasure to welcome a very special guest: US entertainer Fluffy (Gabriel Iglesias) got an exclusive insight into our service in Hanover from our Deputy Depot Manager Janko and our Driver Manager Ben. During a test drive in Hanover, Fluffy was able to see ridepooling service for himself. Together we talked to him about the principle of shared rides and explained our future perspective of an autonomous MOIA service.
