Two quick tips for email & SMS this month… 


1.) Don’t waste precious email and SMS sends to subscribers who want less noise during the holidays. Send some opt-out options to subscribers like the following: 

A. Pause all campaigns until December
B. I only want to hear about promotions during BFCM
C. Send them all to me! 

Not only will this help your EPM, but it’ll keep unsubscribes low!


2.) For those educational and content-heavy marketing moments, brands should play to the strengths of each channel. 

Email is great for longer-form content (new blog posts, newsletters, and other educational content)

If you offer longer, educational content via text, ask subscribers what they want to learn about and give them longer content once they’ve specified.
