This summer, Breakthrough middle schoolers beat the summer learning loss that affects so many across the country. 78% of our students maintained or grew their reading skills, and 71% advanced in math—critical gains in the face of typical summer setbacks. We’re also sparking change in education through our Teaching Fellowship, one of the nation’s largest early teacher pathway programs. This summer, 96% of Teaching Fellows said they’d recommend Breakthrough to others, and 78% felt more dedicated to working with and advocating for students in underserved communities.
