We have a comprehensive IP portfolio comprising over 3,200 patents. The head office is located in Viken, Sweden, and is the most advanced R&D center in the world related to laminate, wood and resilient flooring technology.

Welcome to Välinge’s bespoke machine park here at our headquarters in Viken, Sweden. 

This is home to our skillful technicians who run tests and create samples to find the right profiles to meet customer needs and secure product quality for all our flooring and furniture partners. They also run our own tests, working out the real-life details of how new technologies can work.

“We’re constantly expanding our machine park so we can handle more client requests and keep turnaround time quick,” says Fredrik Söderberg, Manager of Profiling and Prototypes at Välinge. “We work closely with machine suppliers too, and often customise their solutions when we’re innovating new technologies or techniques.”

Many technicians working in the machine park can also be found on-site with a client any given week of the year. They often travel to bring their expertise in production to a client’s facilities. There, they support with training of staff on new machinery, troubleshooting, securing quality, and any other production needs.

Meeting our licensees to collaborate in their facilities is a valuable way to secure quality products and build long-lasting partnerships. It’s also important for gathering insights into the different market demands and emerging trends around the world. 

Senior Key Account Manager Per Plate and Business Development Coordinator Emil G. just got back from China where they spent time with some of our partners, including Changzhou Senhong Decorative Materials INC and Changzhou Xinou New Material Technology Co. Ltd.

Emil is new on the job, and this was his first business trip overseas.

“It was a fantastic opportunity to really get to know our partners and understand their products. It’s great to hear about the benefits they’re getting from our technologies. And, we got the chance to introduce some of our new technologies, which sparked exciting conversations,” say Emil.

Thanks to everyone who came to our breakfast seminar on Välinge floor locking technologies! 

We invited the construction companies Kungshult Bygg and LOBUS Bygg to our headquarters in Viken. Members of our team shared the benefits and how-tos of our floor locking technologies and gave our guests some hands-on installation experience (and coffee, of course). The morning included a tour of our production facilities to show how our technologies are applied.

Seminars are also a great opportunity for us to get feedback from people who work hands-on with installation systems. Understanding their challenges and preferences helps us improve our offer.
