We are here to provide information to families affected by Stargardt’s, signpost them to available support, inform about the latest research, and promote a Stargardt’s community that we hope will assist in driving essential research forward. 

Although there is no current treatment for Stargardt’s, the continuous groundbreaking research undertaken in the form of drug, gene and stem cell therapies means that treatments for Stargardt’s are looking increasingly optimistic.

October is Blindness Awareness Month! As someone who is visually impaired, I’m on a mission to raise awareness and build connections within our community. This month is a great reminder of the importance of understanding and supporting those of us with visual impairments. In February, I launched Brightside, a support group designed for individuals experiencing vision loss to share their experiences, resources, and encouragement. My aim is to foster a safe space where everyone can connect, learn, and grow together. Let’s collaborate to raise awareness, break down barriers, and uplift one another.
