Truworths Warns of Lower Half-Year Profit

Truworths, a South African fashion retailer, cautions about lower half-year profit due to economic challenges, high interest rates, and port congestion. The company's headline earnings per share are expected to increase by at most 4% compared to the previous year, while retail sales in South Africa declined by 0.3%. However, Truworths' British-based shoe chain, Office, experienced a 15.6% sales growth in sterling terms and a 33.1% growth in South African rand terms.
