Your leaves show signs of weaknesses and you’re unsure why? It’s maybe time to dig deeper into your nutrients. 🔦 

Taking sap measurements is a great way to get a more current view on the nutrition your plants can use for growth.

But as you read through your results, here are 4 things to keep in mind:

- What's the category of the mineral you're looking at? Cations, Anions, Trace Minerals have antagonistic behaviours amongst one another. The surplus of Magnesium (Cation) will impact the uptake of Potassium (Cation) but not of Iron (Anion). 
- Ratios of minerals are important, for example, K/Ca needs to remain in check to ensure the fruit both filled and resistant (strong skin)
- Absolute values are also essential to keep minerals in balance and to avoid  overspending on fertilisers
- Environment will influence the uptake as well.  Water pH, temperature, substrate type, O2 concentration, light, moisture, plant stage, roots quality, will all heavily influence the uptake capacity of your plants
