Last week, Jammu celebrated a historic moment as Hon'ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha flagged off 100 new electric buses for the city. Chalo will be powering  seamless tracking and convenient ticketing on the buses through the Chalo App. By making it easier to take the bus, we’re on our way to increasing bus usage towards a cleaner, greener and sustainable Jammu.

A remarkable start for Chalo in 2024!

First, we had the privilege to collaborate with Assam State Transport Corporation and contribute to the launch of the ASTC National Common Mobility Card which will foster connectivity in Assam. Under the leadership of the Honourable Chief Minister, Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam becomes the third state in India to adopt NCMC. 

Next, we got the opportunity to present the BSRTC Chalo Card, the Chalo App and the digital ticketing process of Patna City Buses to the Honourable Chief Minister of Bihar Shri Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Tejashwi Yadav, Governor of Bihar Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, and other dignitaries at the Bihar Electric Vehicle Expo and Conclave 2024.

Our Co-Founder, Priya Singh, was invited by the E-Cell & Skill Hub, St. Xavier's College, Mumbai for a mentorship session to empower aspiring entrepreneurs. 
Empower she did - drawing from her extensive startup experiences, Priya shared unique insights and interacted with dozens of budding leaders.

Emphasising the importance of innovation, Priya spoke about how Chalo has brought about a change in bus travel through live tracking and digital ticketing. Her message was to find a problem, fix it relentlessly, and never stop experimenting. She urged the attendees to redirect their focus from the pursuit of overrated goals like launching an IPO and instead focus on building a business that addresses consumer problems. 

Speaking about competition, she said multiple players can coexist in the system. One can succeed by anticipating future trends and staying strategically agile. 

As a parting wisdom, Priya urged attendees to develop resilience. In a competitive world, her advice was simple: ‘be like a cockroach, don't die.’
