Sembcorp Industries Ltd, an investment holding company, engages in the renewables, integrated urban solutions, conventional energy, and other businesses in Singapore, rest of southeast Asia, the Middle East, China, India, the United Kingdom, and internationally. The Renewables segment provides electricity from solar and wind resources and energy storage solutions, as well as system services that support integration of renewables into grid; and trades in energy attribute certificates. This segment also includes the development and provision of installation, operation, and maintenance of solar, wind, and energy storage assets. The Integrated Urban Solutions segment develops large-scale integrated urban and integrated townships, such as industrial parks, business, commercial and residential spaces, and production and reclamation of water and industrial wastewater treatment, as well as solid waste management and waste-to-resource solutions. This segment also comprises carbon capture, utilization, and storage projects. The Conventional Energy segment sells energy molecules, including natural gas, steam, and electricity from various fossil fuels, such as natural gas and coal. This segment also sells water products from its integrated assets. The company also engages in the terminalling and storage of petroleum products and chemicals; solid waste management, public cleaning, and recycling services; and construction and engineering related activities. In addition, it offers water products; and reclamation of water and industrial wastewater treatment services. The company was formerly known as Minaret Limited and changed its name to Sembcorp Industries Ltd in July 1998. Sembcorp Industries Ltd was incorporated in 1998 and is headquartered in Singapore.

🤝 We have signed an MOU with Sojitz Corporation and Kyushu Electric to pursue potential opportunities for green ammonia production in India for export to Japan.
 
Presented at the Asia Zero Emission Community Leaders’ Meeting hosted by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the MOU leverages our established renewables presence in India.
 
⚡ With green ammonia as a critical energy source to decarbonise Japan’s power supply mix, the partnership will support the government’s goal to achieve net zero by 2050.

We celebrate the groundbreaking of Quang Tri Industrial Park in Vietnam! Our joint venture VSIP Vietnam is part of the consortium developing this project. 🎊
 
Attended by Vietnam’s Central government and provincial leaders, the event marks a milestone in the development of the country’s North Central Coast into a future economic hub linking Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar. 
 
Quang Tri Industrial Park is 60km from Phu Bai International Airport (Hue Airport). Its target industries include textile and garment, footwear, packaging and printing, wood processing and furniture, as well as food and beverage.
 
When fully operational, the 481-hectare park is expected to create jobs for 30,000 to 40,000 workers.

As part of our commitment to driving energy transition, Sembcorp hosted a dialogue session with various leaders of Singapore charities on ways their organisations can start adopting more sustainable practices. 🌞
 
Our Chief Corporate and HR Officer, Robert Chong, hosted the leaders at the Sembcorp Cool House to showcase how it optimises its indoor conditions while reducing energy usage by about 30%, compared to its previous systems.
 
⚡ The Sembcorp Cool House, located in the Singapore Botanic Gardens, features energy-efficient installations for optimised temperature control as well as the use of rooftop and building-integrated solar panels.
 
🌷 These sustainable features at the Sembcorp Cool House emulate a high-elevation montane forest environment, providing more opportunities to grow and bring to flower rare orchids threatened by climate change.
