Its solutions include satellite access, geospatial foundation, precision mapping, on-demand intelligence, and geospatial services. It serves U.S. and international government agencies, and enterprise customer verticals. The Space Infrastructure segment provides space-based infrastructure, robotics, sub-systems, and information solutions, including communication and imaging satellites and payloads; platforms for space exploration and hosting instruments for earth science; space subsystems for power, propulsion, and communication; satellite ground systems and support services; space-based remote sensory solutions; space robotics; and defense systems. Here are four inspiring Black pioneers who have shaped the landscape of GEOINT and space exploration:

1️⃣ Dr. Gladys West: A true trailblazer, Dr. West played a pivotal role in the development of GPS technology. Her mathematical work laid the foundation for geospatial mapping, impacting how we navigate and understand our planet.

2️⃣ William "Bill" J. Brown: A mapping pioneer who rose from a humble background to become the first Black director of the Defense Mapping Agency Aerospace Center. Brown's journey exemplifies resilience and achievement in the field of geospatial intelligence.

3️⃣ Dr. Aprille Ericsson: A trailblazing aerospace engineer, Dr. Ericsson has made substantial contributions to NASA's space missions. Her groundbreaking work includes developing technology for gathering precise measurements from satellites, contributing to our understanding of Earth's complex systems.

4️⃣ Benjamin Banneker: A self-educated mathematician and astronomer, Banneker's legacy includes assisting in surveying the original boundaries of the District of Columbia. His astronomical observations and precise measurements contributed to the accuracy and reliability of the mapping process, providing essential geospatial data for the region.
