As the investment arm of Enterprise Singapore, SEEDS Capital catalyses smart monies into Singapore-based early-stage technology startups. We co-invest with institutional investors in innovative startups with strong intellectual content and global market potential.  

We focus on nascent and strategic industries such as Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering, Health & Biomedical Sciences and Urban Solutions & Sustainability. We also look at other emerging technologies such as Agri-tech, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Quantum Computing and Space Technologies.  

Post-investment, we leverage Enterprise Singapore’s networks across industries and global overseas centres to support the growth of our portfolio companies. Today, we have over 100 startups in our portfolio and we work with more than 40 co-investment partners.

Led and co-invested with appointed partner Real Tech Holdings Co.,Ltd., we participated in the funding round alongside other investors such as Wavemaker Partners, Pappas Capital, Sing Fuels, Inci Holdings, Michael Gryseels and Carbon Zero Venture Capital. 
 
Founded in 2018, VFlowTech is a #batterytech startup that has developed a vanadium-based redox flow battery for sustainable, renewable energy storage. As part of this funding round, VFlowTech plans to set up a 200MWh production line capacity and scale up the manufacturing of its 250kWh modular vanadium-based long-duration energy storage solutions. In addition, it also plans to expand into the USA, Japan, Turkey and India while enhancing its product capabilities through R&D. 
 
As one of SEEDS Capital’s first investments into storage solutions for #renewableenergy, we are happy to witness VFlowTech's growth, alongside Enterprise Singapore. We believe that its technology will tackle renewable energy needs in Singapore and beyond, as a viable solution to address the intermittency of #renewables. 🔋🔋🔋

We’re happy to have participated in our investee ION Mobility’s latest US$18.7 million Series A fundraise alongside co-investor TNB AURA, in a round led by TVS Motor Company! 🎉
 
With a mission to create affordable, desirable and sustainable mobility solutions, ION Mobility is building the leading electric vehicle (#EV) motorcycle business in Southeast Asia. This funding round will accelerate the company’s business growth, as it looks to boost local presence and manufacturing capabilities in Indonesia. Having recently launched its M1–S electric scooter in Jakarta, ION Mobility has also signed a partnership MOU with Indonesia’s national grid operator, PLN, to expand its local charging network. 
 
Moving forward, ION Mobility will be able to tap lead investor TVS Motor Company’s resources and know-how as one of the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturers, and drive further success in the electric two-wheeler market within the region. 🏍

Our heartiest congratulations to investee AiDA Technologies Pte Ltd, a leading #AI #insurtech startup in Singapore, for a successful acquisition to Amplify Health. 
 
Founded in 2016, AiDA has developed proprietary #machinelearning models to provide predictive analytics for insurers and enable faster, more efficient and accurate processing of claims. Since our investment in 2021 alongside co-investor Kuok Ventures under the Special Situation Funds for Startups (SSFS) scheme, AiDA has managed to grow significantly, notably clinching contracts with major industry players such as AIA, Singlife, Aviva, Ascension and GREAT EASTERN. Besides securing key partnerships, AiDA also received validation for its tech from industry peers, being one of the finalists of the 2021 Global Fast Track #InsurTech competition. 

This acquisition will bolster Amplify Health’s data capabilities through the addition of highly skilled data scientists from AiDA tech, and also enable Amplify Health to tap on AiDA’s established client base across Southeast Asia. With good synergies between both companies, we are excited to witness AiDA join forces with Amplify Health to spur innovation within the #InsurTech space.

We’re excited to announce a new addition to our portfolio! Qritive, a leading healthcare #AI startup, recently raised a S$7.5 million Series A led by our co-investment partner MassMutual Ventures, with participation from Exfinity Venture Partners.
 
Qritive provides fast and accurate interpretations of #pathology image scans within seconds, reducing time to treatment and increasing accuracy for #cancer care. Through its innovative solution, Qritive hopes to digitise and streamline end-to-end pathology workflows and accelerate adoption of #digitalpathology to improving patient outcomes around the world.

Alongside our co-investor The Yield Lab Asia Pacific, we recently participated in the follow-on investment into homegrown #agritech startup, Protenga, in a round which includes JBI Innovations. 
 
Protenga has developed a proprietary, scalable and vertically integrated #SmartInsectFarming platform that uses palm waste to generate pet food and aquaculture products. Notably, Protenga recently launched its wet pet food product portfolio, making it the first and only company globally to produce wet dog food with fresh insect proteins. Funds raised from this round will be used to support the production of its second generation Smart Insect Farm in early 2023. 
 
With a clear vision of achieving #sustainability through upcycling palm by-products, we look forward to Protenga’s next stage of commercial growth and expansion across key markets such as #Indonesia and #Malaysia, alongside Enterprise Singapore.

We’re delighted to welcome AlterPacks into our portfolio, after their recent successful US$1 million pre-seed funding round! The #Singapore-based new material #technology startup’s latest funding round saw participation from co-investor Plug and Play Tech Center, Earth Venture Capital and angel investor Alice Foo. 
 
Founded in 2019, #Alterpacks upcycles food disposed by manufacturers to create a biodegradable and home-compostable material that effectively replaces plastic food containers. Commercial production of its containers has already begun, and funds raised will go towards accelerating production and overseas expansion across key markets in Asia, Australia and Europe.  
 
We are happy to have participated in the funding round and with Enterprise Singapore, we look forward to supporting Alterpack’s mission to create a more sustainable future by tackling food waste and reducing the use of single-use plastics.

Furthermore, it has also launched its flagship product, Alchemy Fibre for Rice, in supermarkets and e-commerce platforms regionally.

As healthcare continue to become an increasing priority for investors and many governments globally, from tackling aging population with increased medical needs to driving affordable healthcare for the masses, many investors are placing their bets on Singapore-grown startups that can serve these needs and foster innovation in a sector primed for growth in the next 3-5 years.
