On-Mic is an audio streaming platform that has secured a seed round of funding from Touchstone Partners. The platform focuses on live audio streaming and interactive audio experiences, allowing creators to monetize their content and engage with their audience in real-time.

We believe being venture capital investors means more than just funding promising startups. We founded Touchstone Partners in 2021 because we want to invest our time and experience, as well as capital, to help develop Vietnam’s next generation of entrepreneurs. We have a passion for working with founders and helping them realize their visions and actively seek out those who have a strong social purpose and build company cultures that are the most driven, resilient and inspiring. 

After we have done our due diligence, crunched the numbers, and gotten to know the founders, we ultimately ask ourselves a key question before we invest: “if this startup succeeds, what difference will it make to Vietnam or the world?”

Our Managing Partner, Khanh Tran, recently participated in a panel discussion as part of the “Future of Fintech in Vietnam” event hosted by Plug and Play APAC

The discussion touched on the current state, latest trends, future growth potential and scalability of the Fintech in Vietnam. Here are some key takeaways:

- Cashless has become a big agenda for the market and the government. This opens up opportunities for every player to drive this agenda together.
- Open banking will have huge growth potential in this part of the world (SEA)
- The first generation of fintech in Vietnam did a great job at building infrastructure to move money around. Now, we need to focus more on how money can flow smarter and capture higher value. 
- Key challenges for fintech include: aligning with legal frameworks, growing customer awareness, gaining foundational trust from users.
- Partnership and open innovations are usually a win-win, but friction can happen on the execution level between startups and big corps.
